Family weekend

Are you interested in a cycling weekend, but looking for a package tailored to your family—with fewer miles, more playgrounds, and a flexible schedule that leaves room for the unexpected?

We have just the thing for you! Discover an itinerary designed for families with children who are already comfortable riding bikes (ages 8 and up).

Here, too, we’ve thought of everything. And since we know every family is unique, we’ve included plenty of recommendations in our package so you can customize your meals, snacks, and activities.

As an accommodation provider in Wallonia certified with this label, we provide equipment and services tailored to the needs of cyclists. We provide secure bike storage, a fully equipped repair kit, and useful information about local cycling routes.

Frequently asked questions

Can we bring electric bikes?

Yes, of course! Electric bikes are welcome and make your stay even more comfortable. You can charge them in the bike storage area overnight.

Can we rent bikes on-site?

We do not offer bike rentals directly at Gîte Mozaïk, but we can refer you to rental options in the area.

Where can we store our bikes?

Gîte Mozaïk has a secure bike storage area accessible to guests.

Are the routes difficult to follow?

No. The routes mainly use the cycle node network, and you’ll receive a handy guidebook upon arrival. It includes the routes, useful information, and QR codes linking to interactive maps.

Are meals included?

Breakfast at the hostel is included in the package. Lunch packs can be added as an option, and we also offer restaurant suggestions for dinner.

What happens if it rains?

The weekend can still take place even in variable weather, but some outdoor activities may be adjusted. Louvain-la-Neuve also offers several indoor activities such as the cinema, bowling, or virtual reality experiences.

Is a membership card required?

If this is your first reservation at Gîte Mozaïk, yes. A membership card is required for all reservations, regardless of the number of guests included. The card is valid for 12 months at all Kaleo hostels.

Can I make a reservation for a group?

Yes, of course! We’ll help you organize your stay. Additionally, to make your stay easier, we can provide a dinner service (available for groups of 10 or more).

Can I book during the week?

It’s entirely possible to follow our program during the week. Contact us to check availability.

Can we leave our car on site during our stay?

Yes. The whole idea of the stay is that you can leave your car parked for the entire weekend and enjoy getting around by bike or on foot. Please note that the Mozaïk Hostel does not have its own parking lot, but we’ll be happy to point you toward the nearest alternative parking options.
